Stage 2

Welcome to Stage 2 of our Latin course.

These lessons cover the type of Latin used in official documents written in England between 1086 and 1733, which can be quite different from classical Latin, as used by the Ancient Romans.

You will have lots of opportunities to practise what you learn with a selection of activities, as well as extracts from original documents held here at The National Archives. If you are new to learning Latin, try the lessons in Stage 1 first.
