MAF 73/62/4 has been access twice since 2012 – once by the public onsite on 8th March 2017, and once for an online public record copying order on 13th August 2021.
2. MAF 73/62/4A is listed as missing at transfer, when was the transfer date and from who?
We can confirm that MAF 73/1 – 63 were transferred from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food on 1st October 1970.
3. MAF 73/62/4A When was the record entered as missing? i.e. at the actual transfer date? Or a later date when archive cataloguing work was being done? If MAF 73/62/4A was recognised as missing at a later date than the transfer date please provide that entry date.
MAF 73/62/4A is recorded on Discovery as ‘missing at transfer’. The term ‘missing at transfer’ is used when a document has been misplaced prior to its transfer to The National Archives. Therefore, MAF 73/62/4A was ‘missing’ at the point of transfer in 1970 and has never been in the custody of The National Archives.
