‘Jeannie Hart was my grandmother who was born in 1901 and lived in Larne, Northern Ireland. My grandmother was one of six daughters; they loved to dress well and enjoyed their lives, and they were all very close to each other. Her friend ‘Mamie’ emigrated to Canada but they remained friends all their lives and wrote regularly.’
