Gathering statistics

A  Board of Health request for local authorities to provide their cholera statistics. This shows that the Board felt it was important to gather data for their planning, 19 September, 1832 Catalogue ref: PC 1/114.

(CIRCULAR)

Council Office, 19th September 1832

SIR

The Central Board of Health being anxious to obtain as correct a statistic Account as possible of the Cases of Cholera which have occurred in the Metropolitan Districts during the Two Visitations of that Disease, I am directed to request that you will have the goodness to fill up, and forward to me, the accompanying Form of Return, at your earliest Convenience.

Secretary

N.B.—This Board will anxiously look for Return No.5, (already forwarded to you with other Documents,) as soon as the Disease shall have ceased in your district.
