These short (half-day) workshops are designed to give you an overview of a particular historical theme and offer an insight into the types of records held by The National Archives of the UK that could be useful in researching this theme. These workshops will not provide detailed instruction on finding and interpreting historical records, but will instead show you the variety of records available and leave you with a better understanding of the potential of archival research in a particular area. All workshops are led by our records specialists.
These workshops are aimed at postgraduate students, or those preparing to conduct archival research at postgraduate level in the near future. Sessions will focus specifically on the collections of The National Archives of the UK, so students should have an interest in using these records in particular.
