Connecting 20sPeople 100 years on

A global pandemic, rapidly developing technology, uncertainty in the world – does that sound like an accurate description of today? Would it surprise you to know that would also fit as a description of 100 years ago?

To tie in with the release of the 1921 Census of England and Wales in January 2022, our 20sPeople programme will explore and share stories connecting the people of the 1920s with us in the 2020s. This exciting programme will feature a new 1920s-themed exhibition at The National Archives, along with a variety of online and in-person events, activities and digital content, which aim to show what we can learn by connecting with those who have gone before us.

We’ll be announcing more details of the programme over the coming weeks. To stay up-to-date and access exclusive 20sPeople content, sign up to our mailing list and follow  uon TwitterFacebook and Instagram.
