Your Memorialist has further to state that the Purchasers at the time of Sale, being aware of the precarious Right that would be conveyed to them from the uncertainty of some further Claim being more successfully supported, Mr Richard Lord the Agent aforesaid of Mrs Slater, and against whom the Action was brought, was obliged to enter into a Bond of Indemnity against any such future Claim. ~ That in Consequence of some additional Proof lately obtained, Your Memorialist is induced to submit this her Case to Your Honors Consideration, trusting that she will be able most Satisfactorily to establish her Children and Grand Childrens Right to freedom ~ Your Memorialist also humbly begs leave to submit, that as the Jury on the aforesaid Trial found a Verdict in her favor as to freedom, whether her Offspring is not entitled to the same. ~
All of which the foregoing Premises are with great Humility
submitted to the Consideration of Your Honors, being confident
that Your Honors will take that View of her Case, and act
therein, as may appear to <Your> Honors, to appertain to right
and justice. ~
