Generation X

Demographic overview

Gen X are people who were born between 1965 and 1980 (41 – 56 years old). This generation are engaged social media users and are more likely to have multiple social media accounts, often connecting with family and friends but also engaging with a wider use of a platform's features.

Gen X also regularly use digital spaces to search for information online. This will be both practical advice but also researching and discovering information that interests them.

Gen Xers are often overlooked as active social media users despite the fact they spend an average of 6 hours 58 minutes a week on social media networks.
