Draw a picture of a door like this on a large piece of paper:
When you have made your door, you can decorate it. How will people know it’s your home?
Paint it your favourite colours, draw the view outside or decorate it with your own designs.

Instructions
You will need:
- A sheet of stiff A4 card
- A pair of scissors
- A pen or pencil
- A ruler
- First draw a large door shape with three sides on your card.
- Next, carefully cut along two sides of the door – one long side and the short side.
- Fold the door along the long side that you didn’t cut to create your door hinge.
- Fold along the bottom about 3-4 cm above the bottom of the paper.
- Cut out the bottom of the door where you have folded, leaving the folded bits at the side intact to create a base.
- Fold one bit of the base backwards and the other forwards. Now our door stands up all by itself!
- If you want, you can add a window and a doorknob and decorate it however you want.
- Perhaps you would like to add an object or a photograph behind the door?
Why not play a guessing game using your model door?
- Choose a small object in the room and hide it behind your model door – remember to close the door first!
- Another person must guess what the object is by asking you questions about it.
- You can only answer Yes or No.
- If they get it right, open the door and reveal your object!
