Music is at the heart of Eurovision, which has run for almost 50 years. Some of the archives below hold records about past Eurovision Song Contests or about performers that have represented their country at Eurovision. Other archives have extensive collections on the history of music. Although Eurovision is famous for pop music, the contest has seen a variety of genres performed over the years, and the collections held in archives across the UK span an equally wide range of musical tastes and eras.
