Lease for three lives, for surrender of earlier lease (The Bishop of Carlisle, to John Cowper of Carleton Hall Esq.); reciting that the earlier lease began on 3 Feb. 1817 (to Hannah Clemitson of Allendale Town, Nothd., widow) - house and surround at Eamont Bridge (Cumb.), rent 10d.; abuttals; plan inset in margin, showing it as two buildings fronting the east side of the Penrith road, with buildings at back, in yard; to hold for the three lives of Isaac Thompson of Workington solicitor (aged 31), Elizabeth Bleaymire (aged 17) daughter of Thomas Dobson Bleaymire of Penrith solicitor, and Lot Tremble (aged 20) son of Joseph Tremble of Penrith nurseryman; leased with all houses, buildings, garths, lofts, [sic, for tofts], crofts, paths; seal of the Bishop at foot; Royal Arms (Blackfriars Road law-stationer) at head, 1837
