First opened in c.1900 by Withington Urban District Council as an isolation hosital. Presumable it later closed, because in c.1915 it was opened by Manchester County Borough Council for tuberculosis cases. It later became part of the Wythenshawe Hospital complex. [1981 UMIST survey of the North West.] Surgical cases were transfered to (unspecified) Manchester hospitals. [1931 Hospital Yearbook.]
