Other information

In 1929 there were 18 members of medical staff in addition to the three resident staff and a nursing staff of 29, including two matrons and one home sister. There were 170 beds of which 159 were occupied on average, and altogether 467 patients were treated in a year. Patients were admitted with a governor's letter at 30 s per wek, or without a letter at £3 3s per week. A subscriber of £5 5s or a donor of £52 10s was entitled to one letter a year. There were 14 endowed beds. Endowment cost £1000.
