Generation Y

Demographic overview

Gen Y, also known as Millennials, are people who were born between 1981 and 1996 (25 – 40 years old) and are the first generation of digital natives. Digital natives are comfortable with technology and consider it to be an integral and necessary part of their lives.

Gen Y are digitally versatile and will respond to content that takes them to different platforms. They are likely to have a multitude of apps and accounts for different platforms.

Tip: If you are looking to use a mix of content types, you should take a look at Digital Exhibitions, since standard blogs or webpages may not be engaging enough for this generation.
