Exemplification of proceedings in the court of Exchequer John Poynts of Allington, gent., plaintiff Two-thirds of the barton of Arlington, with lands pertaining, which had been confiscated by the Crown owing to the recusancy of Susanna Chichester, widow of Amias Chichester of Arlington, esq. The said Susanna had leased the barton to said John Poynts and Richard Harris of Arlington, yeo. in consideration of £450 and at a rent of £10; and Richard had quit-claimed his share of it to John, in consideration for £150, 6 May 1626.
