To hold to the said John for his life, and after his death, to his son William and the legitimate male heirs of his body; and failing these, similarly to David, Henry, Edward, and Thomas, all sons of said John Bernehouse; and failing all these to the legitimate heirs of said John and his wife Joan, daughter of William Walraunde; to the legitimate heirs of said John; and, finally, to the right heirs of said John.
