Description:

The Malan collection resides at the Public Record Office in London but in the 1980s the NRM acquired copies of nearly two hundred photographs that depict Great Western broad gauge scenes: Malan is famed for his photography of the Great Western Company's broad gauge engines in their final years. These are available in two binders of reference prints. Requests for copies of the photographs should be made to the Public Record Office but a small number of Malan images also appear, uncredited, in the LGRP and LPC collections.
