Description:

It features copies of official photographs, with scenes of engines under construction, including detailed views of the Southern Railway's Merchant Navy class and LMS locomotives. There are also charts and graphs, and images showing both diesel and steam locomotives in operation in the United States.

 

Lantern slides can be consulted by special request. Some of the negatives may appear in the Brighton Works collection (also held by the NRM).
