Description:

The 1¾ x 1¼ and 4¼ x 3¼ ins glass plate and film negatives show locomotives built for the Taff Vale Railway, the Barry Railway, the GWR and British Railways Western Region with further images of the LSWR and Southern Railway.

 

There are handwritten lists, by Hobbs, recording some of the photographs by railway company and locomotive type. There is also a separate list of photographs of thirty-eight locomotives, from many different companies.
