Description:

This collection of prints, some of which are LMS official photographs taken during the Second World War, show the installation of new signalling at Wigan with images of signal box interiors, lever frames, signals and circuit controllers. There are also official Derby Works photographs featuring wartime damage at Sheffield Midland and Glasgow Central stations. A set of prints taken during the pre-grouping era, shows LBSCR signalling at Tunbridge Wells West and South Eastern & Chatham Railway signalling at Cannon Street, with one or two photographs taken in the United States and Canada.

 

The collection is not listed, but some original negatives survive in the Derby Works WD series.
