Description:

The Foster collection is mainly composed of prints, but there is also a small body of negatives and transparencies. These concentrate mainly on railways in Yorkshire, particularly the Settle to Carlisle line, with images of locomotives, passing trains and railway infrastructure. There are also small numbers of views of the Great Western and Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railways.
