Catalogue description The Boot collection of railway miscellanea

Comprises papers, notebooks and 5½ x 3½ ins postcard prints. The photographs represent locomotives of the main British operating companies, and feature LNER, LMS, Southern and GWR engines, and British Railways Standard locomotives. There are also views of preserved lines, such as the Tal-y-llyn and of industrial locomotives, as well as scenes in workshops and sheds. Photographs of overseas railways are included, particularly the French SNCF.
