Description:

The collection includes views of static locomotives at Neville Hill and Holbeck sheds in Leeds, together with action photographs of passing trains, some dating from as early as 1890.

 

The photographs are primarily 6½ x 4½ ins glass plate negatives which in most cases result in good quality prints. 59 NER reference prints are available in a binder in the Reading Room. Details are given of locomotive, train service, location, date and construction details.
