Administrative / biographical background: |
While largely covering Bradford and the surrounding area, Jackson's particular interests in Celtic stone heads has a national dimension and includes extensive correspondence with the author Anne Ross. Letters and other documents relating to his service years in Iraq during World War II also form a significant portion of the archive. As a former curator of Cartwright Memorial Hall, Bradford, and an able illustrator, he published much of his archaeological knowledge in a monthly Archaeological Group Bulletin which contains many of his line drawings. |
