Sall was the ancestral home of the Boleyns, who had been there since the late 13th century. Geoffrey (d. 1440), father of the lord mayor Sir Geoffrey, was buried there, as were his five sons and four daughters.[Blomefield, Norfolk, viii. 272-5.] |
