By William Mydilton and William Vavasour, chaplain, to Ellen Vavasour, late wife of John Vavasour late of Weston, of property at Newton, Burthwhate, Thornton, Stanley, Estholme, Westholme, Trowstowfeld and Calffalbank in Weston once in the tenure of Agnes Godfrey, and a messuage in Weston now in the tenure of Thomas Wode, together with other property in Burley and Stede which was granted by the said John Vavasour to the said William Mydilton, William Vavasour, Henry Vavasour late of Hessilwod, William Bekwith, John Holme and Sir James late vicar of Weston, to be held by the said Ellen for life as her dowry. Witnesses: Thomas Bekwyth, esq., Robert Faukes, John Pullan, John Mauleverer the younger, gents., Thomas Orme vicar of Farnam. On the feast of St. Laurence the Martyr, 2 Edward IV. Seals: 2 on tags, red wax, one a fragment, the other cracked: a crown of 3 points above a monogram PE. (B) |
