Yorkshire Co-operatives Ltd was recently established in 1985. Previously titled the West Yorkshire Co-Operative Society Ltd, it is the result of many past mergers of formerly independent co-operative societies, including the Bradford District Co-operative Society, itself established by merger on 26 March 1960.

 

The records were gathered together by the Chief Executive Officer and Secretary, in a co-operative storeroom in Bradford, and deposited with the Archive Service in 1986.
