Title: The Barnsley Naturalist and Scientific Society papers
Description:

The Barnsley Naturalist and Scientific Society was established in 1856. The first meetings were held in the library of the Mechanics Institute. From 1870 until April 1878, the meetings place was a room in the Central Chambers, Church Street from which place they moved to rooms in the Public Hall. This was eventually to become the site of the Society's museum. Records comprising:
