These have been sorted chronologically and by author, and Steele has done much marking-up of these sources with highlighter pen. Steele's analysis of the material collected here can be found in his biography of Eric Shipton (q.v.). File 3 contains letters written to Steele by various people to whom he had sent a rough draft of his chapter.
