Description:

Tables of barometer and thermometer readings taken at the peaks of mountains in the Alps. The equipment was left on the peaks with a notice from the Alpine Club asking future climbers to take readings and note them on the forms provided. The book includes notes of who left the equipment, and who took readings. Loose material interleaved in the book includes spare forms. The data collected included the minimum temperatures reached on the peaks. See also 1922/C64, which is part of this study.
