Immediate source of acquisition:

By descent through the de Luc family. After the death of the last de Luc, his cousin Paul-Louis Bader, a Swiss antiquarian book and manuscript dealer, purchased all the J.A. de Luc material from the gentleman's daughter. This item was part of a lot offered to Count Alain de Suzannet in 1944. Bequeathed to the AC by de Suzannet.
