Articles between Richard Wilks of Blockley, co. Worc., yeoman, William Salmon of Preston-upon-Stour, co. Glouc., carpenter, and John Smith of Preston, yeoman, for the equal division of 1½ yard land in Preston, late in the freehold of Thomas Smith, yeoman, deceased, the said Richard Wilks and William Salmon also to have one moiety of the dwelling-house of the said Thomas Smith, and John Smith to have the other moiety, and to be paid by the others an annuity of £4 during the life of Sarah, his mother. Witnesses: Thomas Smith, John Smart. With note endorsed of production in a suit in Chancery between John Smith, complainant and Richard Wilkes and Elizabeth his wife, and William Salmon and Katherine his wife, defendants, 20 April 1742. |
