Description:

Conveyance by Anthony Blackford, senior, of Oxhill, yeoman, in consideration of a marriage between Anthony Blackford, junior, his eldest son and Margaret Hewins of Oxhill, spinster, to John Walton of Temple Tysoe, yeoman, and Thomas Walton of Oxhill, shepherd, of the tenement in Oxhill wherein he dwells, with its barns, stables, garden, etc. a close adjoining a tenement of Richard Townsend, a close called Thorny Close and 1¼ yard land in the common fields of Oxhill; in trust, as concerning a moiety of the dwelling-house, a room in the barn, etc. and the quarter yard land to the use of Anthony Blackford, senior, for life with remainder to Anthony Blackford, junior, in fee, as concerning the other moiety of the dwelling house and a moiety of the barns, stables, etc. of the two closes and of the yard land to the use of Anthony Blackford, junior, for life and at his death to the use of Margaret Hewins for life, with remainder to the heirs of their bodies and in default to the right heirs of Anthony Blackford, junior, and as concerning the other moiety of the barns, closes, yardland, etc., as above, to the use of the said feoffees for 100 years to raise therefrom £75 for the younger children of Anthony Blackford, senior, viz. for Thomas Blackford £20, for John Blackford £25 and for Mary Blackford £30, under certain conditions and provisos.
