Description:

Assignment of a mortgage for securing £15,000 and interest from Nathaniel Barnardiston of Charlotte St. Bedford Square, Middlesex, nephew and heir of Joseph Leeds late of Croxton, Cambs. esq. deceased (the brother of Edward Leeds of Lincoln's Inn esq.) and others, trustees of the will of Joseph Leeds, to Joseph Edward Leeds of Croxton esq., legatee and cestui que trust under the said will of certain property in Monks Kirby village, street Ashton, Brockhurstand Pailton as recited in the deed of mortgage of 21-22 Dec. 1787, and being a part of the property described in CR 2017/D153 below, with an abstract of this assignment of mortgage, undated, c.1820.

 

Assignment of the above mortgage in fee to secure £15,000 from Joseph Edward Leeds to Thomas Lloyd of Shrewsbury, Salop esq. 17th June 1820.

 

Enclosed: extract from the will of Joseph Leeds of Croxton, esq. which was proved in 1808 and mentioned his estates (watermark 1819); correspondence from John Blake in Norwich to Thomas Lloyd and William Wyburgh How both of Shrewsbury and from Tilbury& Langdale in Falcon St. to the latter, June 1820, concerning the drawing up of the assignment ; a note of payments on account of interest due from the Earl to the late Master Leeds from 1814-1819, made in 1820.
