Administrative / biographical background:

Formed as a separate circuit in 1900 from the large single original P.M circuit (for records see MC.Su5), having being a station since 1877. Baptisms registers from before this date which relate to the area covered and display record keeping continuity are listed under this mark. In 1934, this circuit became part of Sunderland North (MC.Su1) and the baptisms register for the period 1931 - 1934 will be found as MC.Su1/8.

 

For most of its existence this circuit was known as the Williamson Terrace Circuit, and contained the following churches:

Castletown [C.Su42]

 

Pilgrim Street [C.Su63]
