Catalogue description Films

The Clarke Chapman film archive consists mainly of short, silent films of machinery. There are, however, also a good selection of sports day activities, as well as some portraying Tyneside as a whole. They have been divided up into types of machinery (alphabetical), personnel/workplace, other places (power stations/exhibitions/regional) and miscellaneous. Most have been shotlisted and these more detailed descriptions are available from the searchroom desk.
