Administrative / biographical background:

At a meeting in April 1902 at Stanhope Road School, Tyne Dock, a teaching station of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, South Shields, certificates of disjunction from 111 persons wishing to form themselves into a separate congregation were received. In addition applications from 77 new members to the Presbyterian Church were also presented.

 

By 1905 St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, was established in Tyne Dock.

 

The Church was closed in 1981.
