Administrative / biographical background:

Ridges Mission started in 1934 as a mission church and Sunday School, meeting in the open air or in members' homes. In 1939 a wooden hut in Minton Lane was acquired, and this served the congregation until the erection of a permanent building on Linden Road in 1949. The church closed in 1969.
