The early records in this collection predate the first church in North Shields built in 1820/1821 in Bedford Street to a Giles design.

 

The present St Cuthberts Church, Presbytery and Parish Centre comprise one unit in Albion Road West, North Shields. The new church was opened on 22 December 1975 and the Parish Centre a month later.
