Also known as Jarrow Wesleyan Methodist Church, it was located at the corner of St John's Terrace and Albert Road. The schools, used for a time as a day school as well as Sunday school, were in North Street (see E.JA1). There was also a Methodist Mission attacked to this church, located at the corner of Stead Street and Knight Street (see C.JA4). St John's Methodist Church closed in 1966 when its site was cut off by the new Jarrow ring road.
