By JOHN GYLES of Nondfield, clerk, to SARAH DYKE of Horham in Waldron, of a tenement called Levitts parcel of the manor and lordship of Penherst with its rights members &c. and a messuage, barn, orchard &c. and 160 ac. of land &c. in Penherst in the occupation of Richard Freinde And 10 ac. of coppice called Coblye in Brightlinge. All purchased by the said John Gyles of Sir Edw. Bromfielde of the City of London

 

Also of a messuage, barn and garden in Netherfield in the parish of Battle called the Hundred howse of Netherfield where the Court of Netherfield hundred is usually kept, with 40 ac. of land &c. in the occupation of Widow Woode

 

Also of a messuage in the tenure of Dorothy Earle, widow, in Netherfeild with lnads belonging

 

Also 35 ac. of coppice, woods &c. called Callis wood in Dallington, Battle and Netherfeild next adjoining to the said Hundred house

 

All the last mentioned Hundred house and lands were purchased of Hennage, Earl of Winchester of Eastwell, co. Kent
