By WILLIAM LANE of Lewes, gent., to THOMAS SHIRLEY of Preston, co. Sussex, esq., - in consideration of a marriage already had between the said William and Abigail his now wife - of a messuage called Hayes, 2 barns, 1 stable, a garden and orchard to the said messuage belonging in High Halstowe in the hundred of Hoo, co. Kent and 140 ac. of land, 20 ac. of meadow and 26 ac. of pasture in High Halstowe and Cliff Cooling, Frindesbury, Hoo and St Maries in the Hundred of Hoo. Also a messuage, orchard and garden called Ouldlands and 72 ac. of land bounding to the highway from Ratford bridge to Hunts Greene, S. and W., lands of John Geale and Elizabeth Elficke, widow, N., a running stream or river from Ratford bridge to Horley Mill, E and partly N. all in Charlewood and Horley, co. Surrey

 

Also Mershland called West Scott Mersh sometime of the heirs of John Markeday containing 40 ac. in Westham, co. Sussex, next adjoining to another parcel of mersh lands called Grigeryes in the occupation of John Packham, and 10 ac. in Wetsham called Grigoryes in the occupation of George Pennell, abutting to the lands called West Scott mersh, N. and E., lands late of Queen Elizabeth then in the occupation of John Threele, esq. now decd, W. and a Droveway from Westham to land sometime of James Thetcher, esq., late decd., called Southey, S
