By JOAN late the wife of JOHN BERTELOT of Rye, to JAMES PONTE of Asshbornhame of and in lands and tenements which the said James and Isabell his wife sometime had by grant of the said John Bertelot and her the said Joan in Cattesfelde called Mellonde, lying at Agemeresherst. And because her seal was unknown to most people and also for greater security she had procured the seal of the mayoral office of the Town of Rye to be affixed. One small seal and another tag, the seal cut off
