By MICHAEL HAWKYNS junr. of Hastinge, gent., to JOHN MARTYN of Lyndfeilde, mercer, - for £10 - of and in a messuage, garden, lands & c called le Knelle, Perriers Crofte, Hames, Brokeland and Perrifeild in Penhurste and Ashebornham, in the tenure of Richard Woodward and James Gardnor, containing in the whole 40 ac., bounding as follows:- the messuage and premises called the Knolle; to the kings highway from Penhurste church to Battell, S., demesne lands of the manor of Penhurst, W., land and garden called Dickdens, N. and the kings highway from Stephens Crooche to Brightling E. Perriers Crofts; to the said highway from Stephens Crooche to Brightling, W., land late of William Cowpers, called Jennings lande, N., land of William Haye, gent., S. and E. Hames; to lands called Cowlandes; E. and S., land of John Ashebornham, esq., and demesne lands of the manor of Penhurst, W. and S. and part of the lands released, N
