Catalogue description Notarial instrument

This record is held by East Sussex and Brighton and Hove Record Office (ESBHRO)

Details of AMS5690
Reference: AMS5690
Title: Notarial instrument
Description:

The document forms part of a miscellaneous group of items associated with the correspondence of the antiquary Charles O'Connor of Belnagare which came to the Academy with other parts of the Stowe manuscripts in 1883. Since the Stowe manuscripts had been owned by Lord Ashburnham it is possible that the document formed part of his collection and became associated accidentally with O'Connor's papers; it is not however included in the 1849 draft catalogue of the manuscripts (ASH 4324) although other parts of the Robertsbridge archive are (lot 843.2)
