Messuage and waste at Sedlescombe Street, occupied by [blank] Eldridge, widow, copyhold of the manor of Battle, to John, son of son John Rootes, deceased, with the money owing on mortgage [for which see AMS 1606]

 

£100 in the hands of Jeremiah Curteis of Rye and £6 5s 0d in the hands of her grandson Edmund Rootes to be divided in three parts (deducting £1 1s 0d to Jeremiah Curteis for his journey and trouble in making her will) for the children of her son Dedicourt Rootes (Jane, Sivyer, Thomas and Mary Rootes), the children of her late son Thomas Rootes (Edmund and John Rootes and Penelope Poile) and to John the son of her son John Rootes deceased
