South Petherton Wesleyan Methodist Circuit was created in 1808 out of part of the Taunton Circuit, and became South Petherton Methodist Circuit in 1932. Crewkerne Bible Christian Circuit evidently emerged in 1824 from a circuit based on West Buckland and in 1907 was united with Crewkerne United Methodist Circuit. The latter became Crewkerne Methodist Circuit in 1932 and was united with the South Petherton Circuit in 1954 to create the present South Petherton and Crewkerne Methodist Circuit. |
