Description:

These documents relate to a mining accident on 6 March 1895 when seven men were killed. The first group of documents concern an inquest held on 13 March 1895. The second group concern a court case brought against the Company by Catherine Evans, wife of one of the deceased, for compensation. The basis of this case being that by signing the mine's book before entering the mine the men were insured by the North Wales Permanent Relief Society.
