17 December 1832 between 1. Thomas Lloyd 2. James Thomson. Lloyd was indebted to Thomson for the sum of £358 as the holder of a promissary note of 15 December inst. drawn in favour of William Ridding and Mathew Court and endorsed by them as payable to Thomson; Lloyd upon application for payment has agreed to secure payment by a further charge upon the manor, Thomson to stand possessed of it and the manor not to be redeemable without the payment of £1,500 as well as the £358 and interest.

 

27 & 28 May 1834 between 1. James Thomson 2. William Ridding, since deceased, reciting that there were due to Thomson the sums of £1500, £358, £182 and Thomson bargain and sold the estate to Ridding subject to redemption by Lloyd upon the like trusts. Ridding appointed Clarke his executor

 

27 & 28 May 1833 between 1 Thomas Lloyd, 2. John Richards of the second part Release for a nominal consideration of the property concerned to Richards subject to trusts and mortgages and that Richards should without any further consent of Lloyd be able to dispose absolutely of any part of the property; and there is now due to John Finchett Maddocks £2272. 10s. 2d. Edward Brown with the concurrence of Thomas Lloyd disposed of the farm in Osbaston and applied the purchase money in satisfying and discharging the principal sum of £4000 secured in the indenture of 5 & 6 February 1830 and there now only remains due to Edward Brown £1472, 17s. and whereas William Cooper has agreed to release the hereditaments due to him under the said recited mortgage of 16 July 1831 and to look to the payment thereof from other hereditaments comprised in his said mortgage security; there is now owing to Clarke as executor of Ridding the sum of £2511. 6s. 3d; Owen Thomas has contracted to buy the property as in the first schedule and John Richards in execution of his trust has agreed with Thomas for the absolute sale of the property in the second schedule, free from all encumbrances except the land tax, tithe and yearly rent charge of £60 a year to the Chaplain of Minsterley for the sum of £13,315. 5s. which will not extend to pay the whole mortgages and debts owing to Maddock, Brown and Clarke and it has been agreed that out of the said last mentioned sum the sum of £1272. 10. 2. owing to Maddock and £1472. 17. to Brown shall be paid and the sum of £1569.17.10. residue of the purchase money should be paid to John Richards as such trustee to be applied upon trusts by him to the intents as mentioned in the release of 28 May 1833 Now in pursuance of the agreement and the sum of £10,272. 10s. 2d (part of the purchase money of £13,315. 5. 0.) paid to Finchett by the direction of Richards and with the consent of Brown and Cooper by Owen Thomas; and also of £1,472. 17 to Brown by Thomas; and also £1569. 17. 10 to Richards by Owen Thomas; also in consideration of 10/- to Francis, Cooper and Clarke by Thomas.

 

Release of the manor of Cause (schedule of field names and acres attached). To the use of Owen Thomas and to the use of Richard Ford to prevent Mary Thomas from being dowered out of the property.
