GRANT by Robert fil.Hugonis ad-scalam de Castre, clerk, to William de Pikewrth and Sarra his wife, for a part of his messuage with building [in Castre]: by performing a mass for the said Robert's soul, four pence yearly to the wardens of the chantry of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the church of Castre, and if it should happen that the said wardens should not have a chaplain to celebrate the said mass at any time, the wardensof the light may receive the said fourpence to the illumination of the said Virgin, twice a year, viz: two pence at the F. of the Purification and two pence at the F. of the Assumption in Castre church.
